Created by Emmanuel Babled in collaboration with Esvoplex and crafted by master artisans Alfio Maci and Emilio Sampietro in Lombardy, Shade is a series of side tables that explores the immaterial qualities of light through solid acrylic.
Composed of differently coloured tones assembled with extraordinary precision, the piece creates optical surprises through the filtration and distortion of light. Despite the complexity of its construction, no junction or assembly is visible, giving the impression of a singular, continuous body. Matter seems to dissolve, leaving light itself to define the object.
Balancing technological precision with exceptional craftsmanship, Shade transforms transparency into a poetic language. Through reflection, colour, and the dematerialization of form, the piece invites a constantly changing perception, where solidity and immateriality coexist in delicate equilibrium.
