Fractal Mirror

The Fractal Mirror takes its form from the underlying forces that shape patterns in the natural world. Rather than following a predetermined design, its geometry echoes the way matter organizes itself through physical and chemical interactions, producing structures that are neither random nor uniform, but rich in recurring detail.

The mirror’s organic surface is inspired by the phenomenon of foam: clusters of bubbles pressing together, filling space through repetition at multiple scales. Large forms give way to smaller ones, which in turn generate finer structures, creating a self-similar composition that appears to continue endlessly. This recursive logic gives the piece a sense of movement and growth, as if the form were still in the process of becoming.

Crafted in plexiglass, the mirror explores transparency, reflection, and light. Its grooved, fluid contours fragment and multiply reflections, dissolving a single point of view into a shifting, layered experience. The object reveals an order that emerges from complexity. An equilibrium between control and spontaneity, precision and softness.

In the Fractal Mirror, scientific principles are translated into a poetic form. The piece becomes both a functional object and a visual meditation on growth, transformation, and the quiet intelligence embedded in natural structures.

This piece is available in a regular version ( H. 200 cm / 78,7402′′).

Limited and numbered to 8 copies + 4 AP (Artist Proofs).
