Emmanuel Babled, born in France in 1967, graduated in Industrial Design from the European Institute of Design in Milan in 1989.

In 1992, he founded Emmanuel Babled Studio. Since 1995, he has created luxury glassware, tableware, and unique pieces for renowned brands like Baccarat, Bulgari, and Venini. His work spans industrial design, furniture, and lighting for top companies.

Babled’s work has been showcased in major institutions, museums, and galleries worldwide, and he has been featured in leading design publications. He has curated exhibitions and taught at the Domus Academy and Eindhoven Design Academy. His designs are held in museums such as MoMA, Musée des Arts Décoratifs, and The Design Museum.

Babled’s approach emphasizes direct engagement with local materials, techniques, and cultures, blending tradition with modernity and sustainability. His designs reflect a poetic, transcultural vision that balances craftsmanship with contemporary sensibilities.

For Babled, creation is a shared experience with the places and people he encounters. He immerses himself in the context of production, absorbing the essence of each material—whether it’s Murano glass, Carrara marble, Sicilian volcanic stone, or casting bronze in Lombardy, among many others.

This approach allows him to harmonize with local artisans, drawing from their expertise while infusing his own creative vision. Each piece reflects a unique narrative, blending tradition with innovation. It’s a celebration of the intrinsic qualities of materials, where colors, textures, and forms merge through cultural exchange.
